We’re a bunch of 2nd & 3rd year animation students from the Animation Program @ RMIT University.
Our uni course got put on hold because of COVID-19, so we wanted to keep busy with a project that would allow us to keep working together, use our smarts, and do something fun- while also making some art that could spread kindness and help bring some positivity to our community.
We collaborated on ideas, character design, layout design, type, artwork creation and animation.
This Industry Belonging Project was conceived and professionally supported by RMIT Animation staff/lecturers Rebecca Hayes, Laura Eldar and Helen Dickson. We wanted to stay engaged with our students and provide a platform for contributing some goofy GIFs to the wider community.
The project/production was managed & mentored by Rebecca Hayes – including this website.
Additional website illustrations by Ashley Chen.
Isonotes logo design by Indigo Colquhoun.
Please contact Rebecca for any project questions or media enquiries.
We all came together to work online- collaborating remotely, first sharing sketches and ideas and then using Adobe Animate to create the vector artwork and then get it moving! We collaborated with some of our teachers who mentored us through the project- from developing ideas, tutorials and project management.
You can see some behind-the-scenes work on this page.
We all come from a diverse range of styles and methods- you can check out our individual work by hovering over our names above!

Yep! You’re free to share and distribute the material in any medium or format, as long as you don’t make any money or profits for doing so, and attribute us if possible! Basically, they are for noncommercial purposes only.
We all volunteered our time and talent for the project. We wanted to practice some skills while stuck in iso, and create something fun and positive. The results are for everyone to share- we’d love to see them go far!
